The Associated Press is reporting that Alex Rodriguez has elected for hip surgery following additional tests performed Friday to test its strength and flexibility.The immediate diagnosis is a recovery time of approximately 6-9 weeks, much shorter than the 16 weeks originally feared.
I am not sure if the surgery is slightly less invasive than anticipated, or if the original reports were more conservative.
